Poker bad beats :(

Friday night time for a friendly poker game at home with some friends, cheap stuff Small Blinds 0.5$ and Big Blinds 1$.
The night was going like usual lose some win some having a blast goofing around until this happened:

I got a pair of 8's and do a min raise, the SB calls it, flop is 8KK, he does the min raise and I call it. The turn is an A he bets 3.5 BB I raise it to 15 BB he re-raises to 25 BB and I go all in 55 BB total. Showdown I'm ahead with a full-house VS his K7 (trips just like I imagined). River comes ................... A! Fuuuuuuuuu!

Now did I misplay that hand or is that a real bad beat ?

  12. Bad beat... My worst one was having 89s, flopping straight flush 10JQs, getting beaten by royal flush in the end

  15. When you flop a full house, you're in it to win it. He just got lucky. You had the better hand for most of that round, and you played it right.

    Sorry m8.
